Bountiful's Shady Loop Trail

It was 92 degrees and too hot for a ride.  One should never let the weather get in the way of a horse back ride.  Fortunately I went.  15 minutes into the ride the winds picked up, the temperature dropped and it started to rain.  It is awesome to feel the rain and most especially when it has been so hot.  So glad I went.  Max was his usual enthusiastic self.  He is like an energetic young teenage boy.  A bit foolish but full of enthusiasm.  I absolutely love riding him and especially when I want to cover country.  Max has a ground eating running walk.  Most people in Bountiful have no idea the beauty in the hills right above them.  I never see anyone on this trail.  It is shady, provides beautiful views of Bountiful and full of wildlife.

Life advice for today:  One horse ride is worth 30 days of living.
Horse advice for today:  When riding a spirited energetic horse find time in your ride to let him get the cob webs out and stretch those legs out.  It is good for the horse and especially good for old cowboys.
